Emergency lighting installation and periodic testing
Emergency lighting designed, installed and tested for commercial premises and HMOs across South Wales, with logbooks and certification.

Emergency lighting is one of those systems that quietly stops working. Batteries degrade, fittings get replaced with non-maintained substitutes, and nobody notices until a test — or an actual power failure.
We install, test and document emergency lighting for commercial premises and shared residential buildings, and we leave a logbook that makes the next inspection straightforward.
- Coverage designed around escape routes and final exits
- Maintained or non-maintained fittings as appropriate
- Duration testing with results recorded
- Logbook and certification for your compliance file
Designing coverage properly
Emergency lighting needs to illuminate escape routes, changes of level, final exits and fire equipment points. Scattering a few fittings along a corridor is not the same as designing coverage, and inspectors notice the difference.
Testing regime
Short function tests at regular intervals and a full-duration discharge test annually. We can carry out the annual test and set you up with a simple monthly routine your own staff can run.
HMOs and shared buildings
Shared residential buildings often require emergency lighting to communal areas. We assess what your building needs rather than applying a commercial spec to a converted house.
Common questions
How often does emergency lighting need testing?
Brief function tests monthly and a full-duration test annually is the usual regime; we record both.
Can you retrofit without rewiring corridors?
Often yes — self-contained fittings on existing lighting circuits avoid major disruption.
Do you provide a logbook?
Yes, along with the test certification.
